DELTA Statewide Steering Committee
Change must be encouraged not only at the local level, but also at the state and national levels. For this reason, the MCADSV has convened a DELTA Statewide Steering Committee comprised of representatives with oversight at the system level, who can review and influence revision of the policies, procedures, and protocols that are currently in place in statewide agencies (and perhaps other places.) The goal is to identify those practices that either inhibit an adequate response to domestic violence or set up situations that promote conflict and violence. These representatives will also be a resource for local CCRs as they do their work.Statewide Steering Committee membership will include agencies such as the Office of Public Instruction, Board of Crime Control, DPHHS-Child and Family Services, Office of Victim Services and Adolescent and School Health Services. In addition, representatives from the following groups and communities will also be represented: clergy, universities, families and friends of IPV victims, domestic violence programs, Native Americans, LGBTI, health care providers, people with disabilities, businesses, and employment services.
