Join UsWould you like to be kept informed of issues surrounding violence against women and have a voice in policies affecting all women? If so, the Montana Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence is an excellent resource. The MCADSV formed in 1982 with two primary, intertwining goals: to strengthen the support systems that serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Montana; and to work together to eradicate sexual and domestic violence in our state. Since that time, we have made many forward strides in both these areas. The need for our work continues. That's why we would welcome the strengths, energy and experience you would bring to our membership. The broader and deeper our coalition, the stronger our voice and the more we can achieve. Benefits Being a Montana Coalition member allows you to share ideas and resources with others who are providing direct services to survivors or working in a related area. Members share in a number of other benefits, which include: * subscriptions to our newsletters, monthly technical assistance packet, and any other publication we produce (although we might need to charge for multiple copies); * access to our resource library that contains over 800 books and videos; * technical assistance (on-site when requested) from our Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Outreach Coordinators, Public Policy Specialist, Training Coordinator, or DELTA Project Coordinator (who specializes in developing coordinated community responses to domestic violence); * updates on state and federal legislative action and other public policy issues that relate to domestic and sexual violence; * free training--not just at the Montana Coalition's conferences and meetings in Montana, but we also sponsor members' attendance at national conferences each year; * consideration as a possible partner for any special grant-funded projects that the Montana Coalition pursues and receives; * a free e-mail account and Web page (for member programs and organizations); and more...
