We are collaborating with the Montana Attorney General's office to provide Full Faith & Credit training to the criminal justice system and advocates. Our contract trainer is an attorney with 25 yrs experience in private practice, as a DV prosecutor, and as a tribal prosecutor for the Southern Ute Tribe. She wrote a comprehensive manual that is given to training participants. Training audiences from throughout the state have included sheriffs, police, tribes (tribal police, prosecutors, BIA, advocates), Hwy Patrol, District Ct. clerks, DV/SA advocates, with plans to train District Ct judges, Courts of Limited Jurisdiction judges, and county prosecutors. This two year grant started in 2002.
